A foreign investor must invest at least EUR 35,000 in the capital of a Latvian company. Also it is necessary to take into account that within a year this enterprise should pay taxes for 40 000 EUR.

2. Investments in a credit institution (bank) of the Republic of Latvia in the form of a subordinated capital of a credit institution.

A foreign investor must invest no less than 280,000 EUR. The minimum period for such a loan is 5 years. The Latvian bank provides an investor with a certificate of placement of the deposit, which gives grounds for obtaining a temporary residence permit for both the investor and members of his family.

3. Investments in real estate of the Republic of Latvia.

Purchase of immovable property in Latvia for an amount not less than EUR 250,000 and a cadastral value of at least EUR 80,000.

4. Representation of a foreign company.

Fast registration procedure for a representative office of a foreign company. When extending the residence permit, you must provide a report on the work of the mission.

5. Employment of a member of the board.

The company is registered in the Register of Enterprises for at least a year; the authorized capital of the Company is not less than 2800 EUR. The company is obliged to contribute at least 21 000 EUR during the year.

6. Employment contract.

Employment in a Latvian company with a salary of at least 850 EUR.

OBTAINING RP IN LITHUANIA

 

A residence permit is required if you plan to stay in Lithuania more than 90 days during the first half of the year, starting from the first day of entry, you want to engage in commercial activities, work for hire or study.

The residence permit is initially issued in consular offices outside of Lithuania, usually for a period of 1 year, and then can be extended. After five years there is an opportunity to obtain a permanent residence permit.

OBTAINING RP – MALTA

 

From July 1, 2014, the Residence Rules Program (RRP) came into force in Malta. The purpose of introducing new legislation is to enable citizens of EU member states to obtain the status of a resident of Malta and, as a consequence, the possibility of tax concessions.

Advantages of RRP:

  • Resident status in a prestigious country and comfortable jurisdiction;
  • The right to conduct business, invest and work in Malta;
  • Reduced tax rates;
  • The minimum family tax is 15,000 euros per year (there is no additional tax on spouse, children or dependent persons)
  • Schengen visa, providing freedom of movement in the Schengen countries;
  • There is no inheritance tax;
  • The agreement on exemption from double taxation is in force;
  • Possibility of obtaining a residence certificate.

Who can claim:

  • Individuals who are already citizens of the EU Member States, as well as citizens of Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein;
  • Dependents, including spouse (s) or civil partner, children under 25, extended families and other family members.

Also in Malta, there is the Global Residence Program (Global Residence Program). The program is designed to attract individuals who are not subjects or permanent residents of EU member states, the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

Persons who receive a residence permit under this program can work in Malta provided that they meet the requirements for obtaining a work permit.
